Dreamweaver Adventures uses very stable, sit on top kayaks that are all fully equipped for any expedition. The ingenious design of these kayaks allows for anybody to quickly master the techniques needed to enjoy your time on the water. No previous experience is neccessary as your guide/s will be on hand to assist you at all times with the safe kayaks. 

 Sea Kayaking Trips

The calm waters of Nelson Mandela Bay provide perfect conditions for safe sea kayaking. Encounters with dolphins, various sea birds and Southern Wright Whales ( Sep-Nov ) will complete the excursion. Those with previous experience looking for more adventurous trips should enquire about other sea kayaking routes available.

Beachfront Paddle          < 2hrs                                                                                   

dwa 11 • Get a different perspective of the beachfront by enjoying a leisurely paddle lasting about 2 hours. The route begins at Denvilles beach ( opp. Bayworld ) and takes you along the beachfront to the Flat Rocks area where we will drift with the currents before undertaking the return paddle. Includes a drink stop at the Coke can marker buoy. Cost is R130 pp.

Cape Recife Paddle         < 4hrs                                                                                 

dwa 12 • Launching from Denvilles beach we follow the same route along the beachfront but continue on to Cape Recife Nature Reserve, including some close encounters with shipwrecks. Rounding the Lighthouse, which signals the southern point of Nelson Mandela Bay, we will beach ourselves for a snack or drink before retracing our rudders course back. The trip lasts 4 hours and a reasonable level of fitness is required. Cost is R200 pp.

Thunderbolt Paddle       > 2hrs                                                                                 

dwa 13 • Not for the faint hearted, we launch from within the Cape Recife Nature Reserve and head out past the Lighthouse to Thunderbolt Reef situated off the point, responsible for the demise of the Cabodistrius in 1976. We'll paddle around the reef and the wreck at a safe distance before returning to shore. We'll meet at Denvilles beach ( opp. Bayworld ) before departing for Cape Recife and return there afterwards. Cost is R150 pp.

Note: All trips include equipment, light meals for half day ( 4hrs ), limited refreshments, transport for trips dwa 13 and dwa 14, permits and any additional fees, experienced guide/s and a great kayaking experience. Sea kayaking trips booked in advance may have to be re-scheduled or substituted with a river route should sea and weather conditions be unfavourable and unsafe.

Don't forget to bring a hat, sunblock, costume, towel and love for nature.
